The Pointe Warming Center

The Pointe in Oil City will be hosting a Warming Center beginning November 12, 2018. The Warming Center is a place to get warm during extreme cold weather conditions. The Center will be activated when it is 20 degrees, with or without the wind chill, and activation will be determined no later than 6:30 p.m. each day by The Pointe Director using Accuweather. Activation information can be found by listening to local radio stations, calling 2-1-1, or at The Pointe ( City/). 

When activated, the Warming Center will be open from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Services available: 

  • Hot shower
  • Warm, safe environment
  • Phone/Internet access
  • Light laundry
  • Hot coffee
  • Light snacks
  • Helping hands

The Pointe is located at 259 Seneca Street in Oil City, PA 16301. The Warming Center cannot accommodate animals. 

For anyone wishing to donate items to sustain the Warming Center, here is the wish list:

The Center Town Cafe, located at 250 Seneca Street in Oil City, is open from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Cafe is open to the public and provides a free lunch along with great friendship in a social setting. Here is the menu for November:
